Project’s goal.
A comprehensive redesign of the Mi Medicus mobile ecosystem. The focus was on re-establishing core user tasks and building a product that truly addresses patient needs while streamlining the overall digital experience.

Benchmarking
3 brands (Galeno, OSDE, Swiss Medical Mobile) were studied to get a glance of what the competition was implementing in their digital products, and to collect data about the market.

Usability Heuristics Analysis.
Jakob’s Nielsen 10 usability heuristics were used to run an analysis of the current Mi Medicus app to have a better understanding of the system, and how it could be improved.

Semi-structured Interview.
An interview process started to have firsthand insights from users of telemedicine apps.

User Personas.
Created to improve the emotional connection with users in order to get a better sight of who they are and what they really need, by empathizing with them. 3 main groups of user were detected and turned into user personas.

Open Card Sorting.
The design process starts by running an open card sorting to get data about user’s mental models and grouping information.

Main user flow was created to start designing the structure within most important user’s tasks (Spanish).

Sketches.
The design process started creating the first visual ideas in the sketches stage. Initially, the process included the following screens and functions: Home, on-call appointment, Log in, Menu bar, reimbursements and appointments.

Lo-Fi Wireframes (Spanish).
The design process continued with the creation of the first wireframes. It was done in low fidelity, as it was fast for the process and the solution needed to be functional enough.

Lo-Fi Prototype (Spanish).
Main interactions and functionalities were added to the wireframes so they would become the low fidelity prototype needed to the test phase.
3__Test Phase.
Usability Test.
Test phase started with an usability test, to evaluate the prototype product and its usability by observing users interact with it by completing a set of tasks.

Iteration.
Once the test phase was completed, an iteration process began, including most important findings from the previous researches, to complete the final Hi-Fi Prototype of the Mi Medicus new redesigned app.
